Creating a Culture of Safety

The Marine Safety Institute (MSI) utilizes scientific research, planning, operations and management expertise to assist governments, communities and private property owners in addressing the unique complexities and safety issues associated with waterfront areas and facilities (both public and private).

MSI's mission is to create a culture of safety that reduces waterfront accidents, injuries and fatalities through research, planning, engagement, and education.

MSI offers technical assistance and advisory services in areas such as Waterfront Safety Surveys; Safety Plan Development; Safety Equipment Integration; Waterfront Accessibility; Waterfront Safety Technology Developement & Implementation; Safety Training, Drills & Certifications to entities and individuals (both public and private) wherever people meet the waterfront.
